Must Starts and Free Agent Pick-Ups for your NFL Week 4 lineups

September 28, 2011

Mitchell Evan’s Week 4 Fantasy Impact Players to add/start:

1. David Nelson: This wide receiver from Buffalo has had a great first few games of the season.  More famous from his game winning catch against the Raiders in week 2, he hauled in 6 passes for 84 yards last Sunday against the Patriots and is a solid flex option for deeper leagues.  With being owned in only 50% leagues, and you have a receiver starting like a Santonio Holmes, definitely pick this guy up and start him.

2.  Antonio Brown: He has been the most consistent receiver for the Steelers, owned in only 20% of Yahoo leagues, he is a great option if you’re in a 10-16 team league.  Was thrown at 8 times last sunday, and had 4 catches for  75 yards.  He also just surpassed Hines Ward for the number 2 job as a receiver.

3. Eli Manning: I’m not sure how clear to be on this BUT START HIM. He had a huge game last week and plays a struggling Cardinals defense week 4. (who gave up 400+ yards to a measly Cam Newton) He had 254 yards and 4 touchdown’s against the “dream team” Philadelphia Eagles.

4.  Lance Moore:  Lance started off the season on the injury list, almost everyone who had him on their team dropped him instantly, but now since he has come back, he is the number 1 receiver for the Saints. With Colston still on the injury list for a couple more weeks, Moore’s fantasy status should be going through the roof.  Owned in 62% of leagues, you have a good chance of finding him in a league with 8-10 teams in it.  He is a must, and is the most consistent player when healthy, out of the Saints receivers.

I think this week is a must play for fantasy owners who have Eli Manning. The Cardinals Defense is on and off at times in the secondary but I think when the Giants run the ball with their two-headed monster of Jacobs and Bradshaw it leads to throwing touchdowns for Manning. I also think fans should keep an eye on and pick up receivers Victor Cruz of the Giants, Nate Washington of the Titans, and Danario Alexander of the Rams. Cruz will be the #3 receiver alongside Nicks and Manningham and should have a nice game with single coverage, Washington will get many receptions now that Kenny Britt is sidelined and is a potential 2 TD threat every week, and Alexander is a 6’5 beast of an athlete and can score a ton of balls in the red zone for Sam Bradford. Keep an eye out on those players throughout the week. Enjoy the football and good luck in your leagues…
